The lamp is composed of a vertical, cylindrical base that supports two large, overlapping, rounded rectangular shades.These shades are positioned in a tiered manner, one slightly above the other, creating a layered look reminiscent of a pagoda or a classic lighthouse. The outside of the piece has been meticulously hand-painted, creating a grayish-wash with a satin finish, which gives it an aged, organic look. The inner surfaces of the shades glow warmly when the lamp is illuminated, bouncing off the bronze glaze, providing a soft contrast to the cooler tones of the exterior. The design of the lamp shades ensures that the light is primarily directed outward and downward, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. This makes the lamp ideal for ambient lighting in living rooms, bedrooms, or cozy reading nooks.
